always get called on to represent hiphop??

Ex:Camron on 60 minutes (I think that was the show)

David Banner on HipHop vs. America

T.I. on HipHop Vs. America (Everybody just looked at this bamma with a blank look on their face whenever he got finished speaking)

Why do the likes of KRS, Chuck D, and etc. always get overlooked by primetime programming and are forced to talk hiphop issues on DVD/shows people most people wont even watch??

  1. People who don't like hip hop always use ignorant people to support their beliefs and that's why dumb rappers always get chosen.

  2. so that the opposing side can outsmart them and get their point across to the ppl.

  3. Y??

    well

probably the people producing these shows.. chooses the least favorable and the stereotypical representatives, in order to reinforce whatever view it is they have on hip-hop;...

god forbid they give hip-hop an opportunity to look intelligent

  4. Cam was on 60 minutes because he had just got shot in DC and said he wasn't working with police.  They were doing a piece on the "Stop Snitching" fad.

They never put KRS-1 or Chuck D on BET any other time, I guess they said they wasn't going to start w/ Hip-Hop America

btw. Oprah did have Common & Russell Simmons speak on a panel on her show.  Thou she talked over them most of the show

  5. I've heard KRS talk about the state of hip hop. He's really not that interesting.

  6. David Banner was the biggest disgrace I have ever seen in my life. All he did the whole time was bring a bunch of people that weren't black and say "Well what about them." People love to blame others when they know they're in the wrong. I lost a lot of respect for him. Him and his WHOLE family should truly be ashamed of him.

If you're not going to fight for hip hop with intelligence and dignity then sit down and STFU!!

  7. Great question but I'm sure you already know tha answer to it...

  8. i actually think TI did a good job of representing a parent...but hey thats just my opinion

Edit: and KRS would just start ranting like hydrogen oxygen phosphorus!!!! hip is to know, its a form of intelligence to be hip is to be update and relevant- Hop is a form of movement, you cant just observe a hop u gotta hop up and do it....lol

  9. because people can't handle the truth i'm gonna make a show called real talk and in the beginning i'm going to have who ever does huies voice from the boondocks come out and do that whole ronald regan was the devil speach

  10. Good question, that pissed me off I just turned off the tell lie vision.

  11. So the opposing side can absolutely trample them.

Also, why not let them embarrass themselves and the entire industry/culture?

  12. KRS-One and Chuck D get called on to talk about hip hop ALL the time.  Both of them have appeared on nationally televised shows, but more often they are called as guest speakers at universities.
