Why Is King's Island Trimming all the rides???

How come they're trimming all the coasters to death? The Beast goes only about 1/2 the speed of what it used to. Same with the Flight of Fear! They completely bring you to like 1mph! The rides arent that great anymore... Also why does Flight of Fear always have on all the lights now? They should make it pitch black!!!

  1. why the lights on, someone probably complained! Plus if you get off the ride reallly fast then you'll be done with the park early so i guess psychologically if there's a wait in line, you'll waste time (then you'll say you've been at the park all day b/c there was loads to do, (shyeah right it's waiting in line), plus to others it'll look more thrilling and add to the hype

  2. Kings Island is stupid, take a trip to cedar point, WAYY better

  3. The beast has had trim brakes on it for several years, just a few years back they changed these to magnetic brakes.  The main reason for this was to save the coaster from tearing itself apart.  I wish it could be like it was when I was a kid when it just flat *** roared through the woods.

I haven't rode Flight of Fear for a few years so I couldn't tell you on that one, I can't see any reason to brake that coaster or run with the lights on.  I know a few years ago at Kings Dominion they had braked their version of Flight of Fear to Death and had the lights on as well.  Don't know if it's still that way or not, going this weekend guess I'll find out.

  4. I dont know!

  5. probably to save on mantinence costs and for some coasters (the beast) to make it rideable

  6. after the "son of beast"inncident they are probably taking safety very serious.
