Why Is My Alcohol Tolerance So High

Question

I Drink Once In A Blue Moon, Why Is My Alcohol Tolerance So High...I Drank Half A Bottle Of Vodka About An Hour Ago And I Dont Feel TOO Drunk...I Am 5'11 And Weigh Around 150 lbs ... Im Not Drinking Just To Get Drunk..Its A Special Occasion ... Drink Responsibly =)

You got a good liver. You can drink half a bottle of Vodka and a lot more and not get paralytic, that's if you pace it. I think if you (at least I would) necked half a bottle you wouldn't feel too good.

I way less than you and am shorter than you and can drink more than that and not feel too drunk either.  I think it's genes.  Both sides of my family are full of drunks.  

And I don't know if it counts for anything, but I'm full of Irish blood :]

i'm also Irish like the guy above me, and my tolerance is INCREDIBLEY high.

i've taken in more than a half of a bottle of whiskey once and it was a decent drunk..

I think it has to do with the family.

Sometimes if your parents are alcoholics then you can be born with a high tolerance. That's what happened to me at least. It's f-ing g*y if you catch my drift.

Hahaha.  Liquor creeps up.  The last time I drank that much, it took about 2 hours before I was really drunk.  And I went from almost sober to puking in a few minutes.

I'd like to hear what happened to you.  You should've got more drunk after posting.

I sooo agree with first answer, because I'm about 5 feet (yes short!) and 90 lbs

and can drink about half a bottle of this [Tequila Cazadores](the big kind)

and feel not too drunk ^-^
