Question:

Why Is My Hair Falling ???

Its been happening for abour 5 months now, I have lost about 1/3 of my hair mass, and its showing no signs of stopping. Its all over my head, not just in one place, not 'Patterned' and its breaking too, as well as my nails. The hairs hang from my head, and come out with the slightest touch. I do not process my hair, its not damaged. I am using the best shampoo's when I do wash, and am having no allergic reaction to anything - only thing is now, I have 'Cradel Cap' from my lack of washing it. I was checked for Thyroid, Hormones, Lupus, CBC etc. All fine. Only thing was my Ferritin was low, 17 ... now its 25 and is still progressing. I am really thinning, and I am scared and the Dr's refuse (or are baffeled) to do anymore testing. I am so alone. Your hair just doesn't fall out. It still grows quickly, as it always has, and I notice around the hairline where it breaks the most, I have new growth... Its not Alopecia either. Been ruled out. Please help, and if any ideas - please share.

  1. There is a disease (sorry not sure of the name) where you lose your hair, for no apparent reason.  It was on the show Shear Genius and they made wigs for them.  It was pretty rare, but it is certainly a possibility

  2. Sometimes cancer causes hair lost

  3. I started taking prenatal vitamins and it helped me.

My hair is falling out because I dyed it and I am breastfeeding . SO i have a bunch of hair just falling out. But before I got pregnant and was taking the vitamins, my nails and hair got sooo much more better.

  4. You're not anorexic? Are you eating balanced meals? On The Pill? Have you consulted with a dermatologist? Are you on any kind of medicine?
