Why Is There Racism In The World?

Basically After Doing Research On The KKK Ive Wonderd Why Do Blacks Sometimes Think They Are Better Than White Or Whites Better The Blacks Or Any Colour Better Than Anyother Nothing is superior to nothing and there is no better or bigger or best ! in the human race? but why?

People just seem inclined to look for the US vs THEM. It can be religion, colour, age group, gender, whatever. Lots of people justify themselves as Well, at least I am not one of THOSE. Just looking for relative superiority. Sad but seems to be human nature to embrace the familiar and blame or look down on the unknown.

It's because of superiority ideologies of course, it's been this way from the beginning. Also, because of certain competitions & fears in the world. Let's take job competitions during the Great Depression in the 1920's for example, which was also the same era during the Great Migration (which was the migration of southern blacks to northern cities such as Detroit, Baltimore, New York, Chicago, etc. for better jobs and environments). First off, it had already been established that the White race was the superior race during that time and vice versa for blacks. So when the economy made a drastic fall, everybody was in search for a way to make money. White men felt that they should've had first choice in jobs and they felt that blacks were competition they had to work against making it equally harder for them to find work. So eventually, this lead to feelings of being threatened which lead to hate for that group even more. Of course hate crimes resulted from that.

as for the "blacks sometimes think they are better than white comment"... i don't think it's like that; it's more of a sense of pride and graditude from what blacks have gone through from history. you have to realize blacks weren't even consider humans according to white ppl. i could explain in detail, but i think you could understand.

as for the "white ppl better than blacks", lol i really don't know what to say about that i'm not entirely white. however, once a race is used to being on top and making all the rules.... that race (whites) don't want to change that. it's a threat to them.

Because people are stubborn and  are not accepting. I think it is so stupid, myself. I view everyone is equal, i don't know what is going to have to happen for everyone to feel that way.

Racism occurs when groups compete for the same resources. In a isolated mono-racial society there is no racism. If no history is presented to the people. You could argue multi-culturalism in itself breeds racism. And through experience negative attitudes develop. Our society teaches constant interaction beteween groups creates understanding. On one side to know them is to love them. On the other side absence  makes the heart grow fonder. Which do you think is true?

Because people are ignorant of other cultures and human beings instinctively fear things that they do not understand.

Fear = Hate = Racism.

I am black and I am not racist at all, so I don't know why people are racist towards certain races. It's really just a huge load of ignorance if you ask me. Black,White,Mexican, Hispancic, I don't care what race you are you are human and I treat people of all races the same.
