Why Is a Cell phone a good piece technology?

So i have to write 5 PARAGRAPHS with 5 sentences each on a piece of technology and i chose the cell phone,but im having trouble on thinking of reasons its a good piece of technology?i mean there are obvious reasons like emergencies but i need other good reason.im writing 5 PARAGRAPHS so anything helps.thanks..

The cell phone is a good piece of technologsy because not only can you use it for emergency phone calls but there are other things too that make it good.

1.  They can be used to take pictures if you have one that has a camera on it.  If you have an accident, you can take a picture of your how your car looks the minute the accident happens.

2.  If you have one that comes with an MP3 player.  It can also be used to play the type of music you like.  This would come in handy so that you wouldn't have to carry around and MP3 player too.

3.  There are also phones that have internet access and this is important if you need to find out informaton right away that you need from the internet, like an address or telephone number.

4.  It can also be used for texting or instant messaging.  If you need to send a message to someone right away you can use this feature too!

Those are only a few of the extra features that the cell phone has and why its used to be a good piece of technology.

The imortance of technology is to help human culture and society.  The importance of fire is obvious, helped to cook the meat.

The importance of the wheel is obvious, it helped us move things.

The cell phone is not by itself important, other than how it's changing how we live and act with each other.  But that can be said for many things.

I used to ask old people (this was 40 years ago) what was the one invention that changed their lives the most.  This was back when the old people were living when things like the radio, the telephone, the airplane, the automobile, the wireless telegraph, the locomotive, and such were invented, around the turn of the century into the 20th century.  And almost every single one said it was the telephone which made the greatest change in their lives.

Previous to that, communication was by newspaper or by talking to the person next to you.  The telephone allowed you t speak to someone a few miles away, or a few states away.

So to carry it to the present, the changes in telephones have made very strong adaptations in human society.  Imagine how did we ever exist with our phones attached by cords and lines??  How could we not exist without cordless phones, so easy to carry around our house?

So now, the cell phone is obviously a part of our culture and how we look at the future.  My cell phone ONLY makes phone calls, doesn't have any ring tones, any camera, any web interface.  But I say that to let you see how different YOUR camera is.  How much different you communicate with your cell phone that I do with mine.  

My cell phone has more in common with phones of 100 years ago than yours.  Your cell phone, with all the camera and web interface, is more in common with cell phones in the near future.

They keep trying to change the cell phone into something which communicates so much more than before.  Eventually, cell phones may be built into a human, so that we don't have to carry it with us, because it'll be built into us.  They've been planning that for some years already, how to get the body to power the cell phone, how to get the brain to control making calls, etc.

The cell phone is an important step in communication.  and it will keep changing as our needs change.
