Question:

Why? Is it so?

When I speak my mind here I get thumbs down, when I say how I feel I don’t get heard. Not just from the women, but it seems the men would rather believe that all women are against them too. It seems the men and women here want to be against each other.

Why is it that people on here cannot comprehend that not everyone on here is about censorship and condemnation? Or am I too boring because I don’t fuel any arguments? Or are my views on humanism wrong; can we not all work together? Or is it that I don’t believe we are all greedy, indecent maladies of one form or another. I need some input; because I have too much going on inside my brain.

  1. How can women ask questions like this but I can't? "Why? Is it so?". That s#% would never go to print if I had ask something like that.  " Violation. Not a question or answer."

If in 5 hrs I check my answers and this is still on there, me and !Yahoo are gonna have some problems.

*btw, u do what u need to babu. Get along with people, but make 'getting along with yourself' priority.

  2. because thinking for yourself is looked down upon by society

  3. Truly, you're overthinking this.

You write some great questions, and some great answers, people who enjoy reading them do, others get riled up ~ you've made your mark.

When I speak my mind, I get Thumbs down ~ and so does everyone else!

No-one is going to get everyone to agree with them :-)

BUT, have you thought that his may not be exactly the type of forum you're looking for? Yahoo Groups have some great debate groups where things are gone into in more depth and people get to know each other a bit better ~ more 'community feeling'.

I belong to a couple of those and find them very enjoyable and a tonic to the all or nothing stuff that goes on in this forum a lot!

Also ~ don't forget, for many people this is all just enttertainment. They don't care if you're confused, upset, genuine or even hurt by what they say ~ it's just a laugh. If you're looking for something more, I'm not 100 per cent sure this is where to find it ...

    Cheers :-)

  4. Wow. Some very valid questions. I am not sure that this is the right forum for these, as, in my experience, even the really intelligent questions are still answered by many immature and I.Q-challenged individuals who are just looking to waste time at work.

I also don't think that this is a gender issue, but more of a people/demographic issue.

You sound like you need an open forum to express yourself without being met with prejudice and stupidity. Uh, yeah, good luck with that. If all else fails, email me and we can vent our frustrations back and forth until we realise that we are not actually changing/challenging anything.

  5. darlin you should know this by now...you didnt post a good answer unless you have both thumbs up and downs.  The correct one is rarely popular...then there are the idiots who just td anyone they dislike.

thumbs cant hurt you! no worries....have some tea.

  6. I blame the media.  ANd I blame the anonymity of the internet.

The media continues to fuel the fight between the sexes.  Take the simple commercials we see on TV.  More often than not, when a couple is involved, one of them is deceiving, lying to, or upset with the other.  One is always portrayed as stupid and the other as smart.  THis does nothing to create a feeling of universality.

Add to this feeling of animosity toward the sexes to the fact that the anonymity of the internet gives some people power.  Without recourse, they can say and do whatever they like, regardless of what it says or means.  Regardless of how hurtful or downright WRONG it may be.

When posting on the internet, it's best to wear your thick skin.

  7. You just need to relax.  This is a forum and everybody on this forum may very well share a different belief that is different than mine, even yours.  Don't take offense to it.  It's not worth your time to worry about it.

  8. I like your views : ) I wouldn't take ANYTHING that goes on here personally, dreadful things can sometimes be said, are they meant, who knows?. I think some feminists here will try and censor you if you think outside their box. Many others will post something that is deliberately offensive and sit back and laugh at the results.

I'm level 1 and can't thumb up or down as yet.

  9. Nothing's wrong with you; it's just that they're not used to you. We tend to thrive on drama around here.

  10. Forgot about the thumbs down, just focus on the thumbs up it means that some people agree with your comment.

  11. Getting thumbs down from GWS users is a surefire sign you are doing something right. In fact, if you dont get any thumbs down, you should be questioning whats wrong with you...

  12. I get what you mean! Id give a perfectly decent & fair answer & I get booed! Its like huh? I guess you have to remember at the end of the day that everyone is brought up to believe a certain way & things are different all over the world! People are more open to some things & closed to others! Personalities are formed through learing & life experiences. A certain question or reading a response may upset or excite someone because they may have experience in their life or what they believe in I guess!?!?

  13. Who cares about thumbs down?

  14. Ppl here take 2 seconds to read your post, and 2 hours checking thumbs..like it really matters?
