I made my Female Rabbit(snow) a nesting box but once I put it in her cage she started bitting it, digging into it and trying to rip it. She tryed to move it to the side and make her own nest but it doesnt look good because she's using newspaper and not the hay im giving her and she's making it on a rough platform. Please Help.

  1. I know that you want to see her using the items you made for her, I feel the same about my pets. Maybe she doesn't like it. They nest where they feel comfortable. Buy her a igloo, they cost around four bucks.

  2. Because she'll use whatever nest space she wants.

She probably doesn't want an enclosed box, she wants to make her nest where she feels comfortable, so just let her!

And it's nothing to do with looking good- it's what SHE feels comfortable with, not what you think she would feel comfortable with.

She needs unlimited hay all the time- hay isn't just a bedding, it's also food to them. And yes, it's fine- she can make the nest wherever she likes. She's the knocked up one, not you.
