  1. our eyes are desigent in such a way that beyond a certain limit every thing appears to be blue(in presence of sunlight)

thats whay sky appears to be blue!!

  2. before I answer this question you should know that the sunlight you see consists from 7 colors called spectrum colors (red-orange-yellow-green-blue-purple) and this arranging because of what the scientists called the wave length of color like the red wave length is more the the orange ...etc.

the sky is blue because of the sunlight when it passes through the atmospheric air (that contain gases molecules and  small dust components) , this molecules and  components snap the sunlight and reflect it in another direction  and the most colors affect by this phenomenon is the short wave colors like blue and green and yellow and purple,  this colors when mixing give the light blue color so the sky is blue.

  3. Google "Rayleigh scattering". The sky is blue because blue light is preferentially scattered by air molecules,

  4. Light from the sun absorbs all the pigments of light in the atmosphere besides the color blue, which is scattered in the sky.

  5. The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.
