Why Italian guys generally have a reputation for being hot?

Question

I am wondering why is it so. Every time I go abroad it happens very often that a girl either smiles or comes forward to meet me and so on, and when I say the magic sentence "I'm from Italy", it seems like she has found the perfect man! (In London usually the guy to spend the night with, no more).

Not a great while ago I met a scandinavian girl, she told me that I have lovely "Italian looks". Not "good looking" but "Italian looks" she said. I'm smelling out so that, especially in northern europe and UK, there's the general thought that Italians are handsome and charming guys.

Girls from abroad and especially from Scandinavia: what did we to earn such a reputation? :D

Please to avoid stereotypes such as "Italians are hairy, greesy, short and they smell of garlic", even though "short and hairy" applies to the majority of Italians :)

PPS No I'm not trying to show away, you don't even know my face and name so there's no point in it.

we just got a foregin exchange student from italy and he's the hottest guy i've seen for a while,...i like his nose :D

First of all, anyone who's foreign is something different that what people are used to in their own country so they already like you. and there's just something about italians that girls love. plus if you have an  accent, that just sucks girls in. most girls adore foreign accents.

Because lots of Italian guys are hot. It's just one of those things.

British guys from Southern England have extremely hot accents, Spanish (from Spain) guys are spontaneous, Australian guys have hot bodies, French men are charming.... those are others of "one of those things"
