Question:

Why Joe Biden as a VP choice?

I don't think Joe Biden is a bad guy, he's got a good bit of senate experience, and as a fan of public transportation I can dig his support Amtrak.

However, what does he really bring to the ticket that he didn't already have? He doesn't have any military or gubernatorial experience. He is not from a state that he has a real chance of losing. It seems like another lawyer who is a senator doesn't cover any ground he doesn't already possess other then the fact that he has been at it longer then Obama and he is white.

Am I missing something here?

    2) Lots of Washington experience.

    3) Attack dog (and Obama need one)

    edit:

    4) Blue collar Catholic background. (guns and bibles).

  2. i think this is the winning ticket  we will see  this is a good team

  3. It's his foreign experience that counts. I figured him as a sure in for Sect. of State. But in lights of the Russia thing, it is the right choice.

  4. hes old

  5. Here is why.  Read David Brooks excellent opinion piece on Biden published yesterday.

  6. He's an excellent choice with all kinds of experience in the Senate.

  7. With Biden as his VP pick, Obama just delivered the Presidency to McCain on a silver platter.

  8. I'm excited about Biden as VP.

People are complaining that he won't bring anything to the table (or anything good), but you have to realize; we're not just looking for a VP.

America's standing in the world today is the lowest it could ever be. Let's face it; very few people like us anymore.

America needs to rebuild it's image. And what better person to help do that than Joe Biden.

Now, if Obama is smart, he'll appoint Caroline Kennedy to the UN, and make Hillary Secretary of State.

  9. Joe biden goes completely against the message of change for Obama. Biden is the poster boy for Washington insider and represents everything that is wrong and corrupt with Washington politics.
