  1. ....because Lebanese are inferior to Saudis and Emiraties.....

  2. wdf? There are tons of Arabs around the Middle East that travel to the UAE to get a job, Dubai is a beautiful city.

  3. Because lebanese are more civilized

  4. because Saudies and Emiraties don't like anyone

  5. Most Lebanese families live from our money so I don't think that's true

  6. LOOOOL youve opened up a can of worms there mate!

because aparently you think youre all the best because you own oil

and u suck up to (and thats saying it nicely) george bush

I DONT THINK THIS THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE TELL ME-IM NOT LEBANESE

  7. Maybe we dont like them because they put that rag on their head and wear that white thobe haha. but seriously we Lebanese don't like Palestinians, Emiraties, Saudies and Syrians just because they hate us cuz Lebanon with its climate and weather (hot & humid among the coast and cool in the mountains in the summer) attract tourists from all over the world + have you ever heard that Lebanon is the only country in the world where one can ski on snow in the morning and swim in the waters of the Mediterranean in the afternoon?!

So yea thats why they hate us and we dont like them for being so jealous :P

  8. well you may be right and this is the reason: Lebanon before 1975 was "the Switzerland in the east" --> Lebanon was the first country ( tourism, culture, trading,.....) in the Middle East and the arab world

then came the Lebanese war in 1975 and lasted till 1990 and this had a really negative result to Lebanon and Lebanese : 1* Lebanon was "totally" destructed 2* Tourism in this period and until now has decreased 3* The trading relations were stopped 4* Lebanon lost his cultural place in the ME and the Arab world

In the late 1990s, the golf countries have had a great revolution and many Lebanese went to work there !! and they naturally react snobbishly because it isn't easy to see that "GLORY" which was used to be in your country in another country!

N.B : Not all Lebanese are the same and I think if you sit and talk with a Lebanese you will change your mind!!!

  9. First off let me make clear that I am neither Lebanese nor Saudi (or from any other arab-gulf nation for that matter). I am an Arab though.

I'll give you the stereotypes first: -

Lebanese: Sophisticated, highly educated, hard working, artistic, flawless in terms of bodily beauty, and very liberal.

Saudis & Emirates (and other guld nations): Savages, super conservative, masculinist society, challenged in terms of facial and bodily features.

Remember those are the stereotypes only... great people and bad people come from everywhere.

Lebanon is part of the Arab league and is classified as an Arab nation according to the UN. I believe that many of the Lebanese (the shallow, the materialistic, the insecure, the self conscious) are petrified of being identified as Arabs (especially by Westerners) since they fear being associated with those "other" Arabs like Saudis, Kuwaitis and Emirates.

In essence, its their basic insecurities and "image" obsession that fuels their hate towards other Arabs.

To be fair, the word "Arab" is currently used to describe a group of people from 20+ nations that speak the Arabic language. "Arab" in its truest sense refers to the nomadic tribes people that originated from Saudi, Yemen, and Iraq. Some of these people built great civilizations (Mesopetamia, Sumer) and others roamed the deserts for centuries.

So it is kind of unfair to refer to all people in Arab nations as "Arab". The Lebanese have Phenocian and Greek ancestry. The Syrians have Assyrian, Roman, and Greek ancestry as well. The Jordanians and Palestinians have Roman, Greek, Turkish, Nabatean, Coptic and many other ancestries as well. Most North-African Arabs have Berber ancestry.

So in essence, Arabs from the gulf region (Saudi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Emirates) are the purest "Arabs" while Arabs from the Levant Area (Jordan, Palestine/Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq" are muts (from all over the place). Arabs from Egypt are mostly pure Egyptian (Pharoic ancestry). Arabs from north-African nations have a lot of Berber in them.

    Hope this helps.

  10. I don't think that's completely true. Many Lebanese work and live in Saudi and UAE, have many friends there, perhaps some like it and some don't. Cheers!
