Why Los Angeles Kings will win the Stanley Cup in Game 4 against New Jersey Devils -NHL Special
Game 4 is the Game of Thrones for the Los Angeles Kings as they are all set to eliminate New Jersey Devils and take their first Stanley Cup championship in franchise history, but for many, the opposing Eastern Conference team cannot be termed out just yet.
With all the statistics going in favour of the Los Angeles Kings as they became the first team in history that entered as the eighth seed and is now just one win away from it all. It is also their first appearance in the finals in over 19 years and giving
up now with a 3-0 lead in the 2012 National Hockey League (NHL) Stanley Cup Finals is just an outrageous thought.
Los Angeles Kings will not only win but they will definitely dominate the night once again come Game 4 on Wednesday, June 6, and here is why:
Just Too Good
The Kings have just been over the top in every aspect of their game and New Jersey has now realised that there is no possible way to come back and take the series in Game 7. No one in NHL history has been able to rebound in the Stanley Cup Finals from such
a deficit and it does not look like Devils are going to do so anytime soon.
With the way New Jersey has been performing in the past three matchups and how they nearly bounced back in Game 2 and being shutout in the next, Los Angeles has shown that they are not slowing down at all.
"I don't know what 45 years of pent-up energy sounds like, but if we play our game [Wednesday], maybe we will find out," Kings captain Dustin Brown said. "I'm sure I'll think about it tomorrow and tonight, but when you get to the rink ... it is kind of hard
to explain the emotions, but you've got to come focused and ready to go. You don't really think too much about it. I think there will be added pressure because we are at home and the possibility of winning it at home is pretty enticing."
Jonathan Quick
New Jersey has been limited to scoring just four goals in the past three games and there is a very good reason why, Jonathan Quick. The young goaltender has faced 72 shots in total in this series and letting just four go through shows how amazing of a goalie
he really is.
Shooting Power
It is not that New Jersey does not have any shooting power, it is that they cannot figure how to utilise it against Los Angeles. The Kings have Jeff Carter, Mike Richards, Drew Doughty and Anze Kopitar going at it with full force and all players are playing
in their prime while Devils continue to struggle on every front.
