Why Mars Snickers, Twix and all there products are no longer for Vegeterians?

I saw an article and also heard from so many of my friends that All the sweets and chocolates made by Company that makes Mars and Snickers etc are not longer Vegenterians as they contain (Rennet a pork substance)

NOT true, Mars announced that it's formula was changing, but pressure from veggie types prevented it, the intent was to increase profits, but under threat of a boycott, they relented, and it remains a suitable sweet treat for veggies....but are Galaxy bars made by the Mars corporation ? you may want to check this one out !....

It was in 2007 that Mars started using whey which wasn't vegetarian. They soon changed the majority of products back to vegetarian whey after the publicity their actions earned them from vegetarians.

I have never heard of Rennet being included in chocolate - this is normally the substance which is used in cheese to bind it, and there are vegetarian versions.

I'd be interested to find out where the article is on this.

That was an old article in my guess, Mars have tested this but when heavily critized for making this choice reverted back to the old, vegetarian option

They announced this unfortunate decision, but luckily it was turned down.

Whoever the stupid decision maker was, he wanted to ruin Mars company if they had not changed back to normal. There are nearly 1.5 billion vegeterians in the world, loosing such amount of customers could have severe consequences on any company or government...

1.5 billion Vegeterians, 1.2 billion Muslims, and million others dont eat pork so how could they decide such decision in the first place?

Read this article.  Its says that they were using non vegetarian products but after veggies caused a rukus they changed back.

That's strange because I bought a Mars bar yesterday and it had the suitable for veggies sign on it.  I'm gutted if they have changed them!
