  1. Let's All Go Fishin

  2. pacquiao rapes mexicans...  idk bout the philippines beating mexico in world cup n all,  but i bet mexico can beat the philippines in fence jumping...

    p.s. i love mexico ;)

  3. They Can Do It

  4. Race has nothing to do with accepting defeat nobody likes losing Mexican or not. We Americans couldn't accept that we lost to the Europeans in basketball even tough we had better talent. Race isn't a factor in being a sore loser .

  5. Anybody who cannot accept defeat and cannot face the cold hard facts is a sore loser. They need to grow up and face it like a man.

If you haven't got the wins, knockouts, knockdowns and belts to prove anything then you're like an empty can.. makes too much noise with nothing to show inside.

Plain and simple truth. Hard to swallow, isn't it?

  6. I wouldn't say that mate. they may seem like it sometimes but they just have a lot of pride! amazin fighters just watch morales/barrera trilogy....wow! =]

  7. We got big pride and will,  it's what makes most Mexicans thrive to succeed in life.  If we just gave up, tough work would have been done for nothing, we refuse to give up and will keep on fighting.  Its that fire that keeps us coming for more,

And I just dont mean in boxing either.

I dont care about soccer as much.

Marquez to my eyes did beat Pacquiao twice.

Who keeps on saying " We got Pacqiuao"? because he is Philippine

  8. they just say that we only got pacquiao because it's pacquiao who has beaten all the mexican stars. And yes you're right, Phillipines won in the world cup w/o pacquaio. So why cant they just accept it. masakit para sa kanila :)

  9. Is this racist?

  10. you racist agasinst mexicans or what? seemes like you like to bring questions about why mexicans this why mexicans that.  you should ask a cholo why cant mexicans accept defeat.

i would b*tch slap u back to the phillippines

  11. Whoever said they can't?

  12. Please excuse the length of this answer.  But your question makes a very broad, and in my view incorrect, statement about an entire race of people.  Given that this is a boxing forum, and your specific reference to Pacquiao and Mexicans 'not accepting defeat,' I assume the question and statement implied in it relate at least in part to the Marquez vs. Pacquiao fights.

I take issue with the assumption in the question.  This is because only one point on one judge's scorecard separates the two fighters after 24 rounds of incredible action; so either side has a legitimate basis to claim true victory.  That's what "it could have gone either way means."

Under these circumstances, I would not expect anything less than a defiant, fighting spirit from a fighter and his fans who have a legitimate basis to believe that their side had truly won a battle such as the ones waged by Marquez and Pacquiao.  Anything less and the fighter would not have the heart to do what he does -- he would not be in the position he is in.  I cannot imagine a fighter (or his fans) under these circumstances rolling over and saying, "I give up.  I lost.  I did not and cannot win."

Manny is a great fighter.  But I note that he is the one who said 'No more Marquez...This business is over...' when asked if he would give Juan Manuel a rematch as he stood inside the ring immediately after their March 15, 2008 fight.  Roach has since come back and described how even he believes that either fighter could have been declared the winner and how Manny needs to fight him again due to the controversy that legitimately exists concerning their fights:  http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-ar...

I don't know about the world cup.  But I appreciate and respect what Pacquiao represents for the Phillipines.  I also respect and appreciate the long, deeply-rooted fighting history that has always existed and continues to thrive in Mexico and its fight fans; it's in our blood, and our fighters come to represent the wars we and our ancestors - even back to the Aztec and Spanish - have waged in our fight for better lives.  The entrance song used by Juan Manuel Marquez in his last fight against Pacquiao -"Traigo la Sangre Caliente" - captures the sentiment of this fighting spirit.

At the end of the day, I would never assume that any fighter or fight fan - whether from the Phillipines, Mexico, US, or anywhere else - should "accept defeat" when he still has hope and a legitimate and reasonable basis to believe that he had actually prevailed.

  13. Oh they can. How about Erik Morales? While the Mexican refused to accept his loss to Barrera, I think it is safe to say that he has accepted his loss to Pacquiao.

After all, he even said: "Wala Kang Katulad, Manny". lolz.

    Pinoy Pride bro.
