Why NOT betting in Cricket be allow?

My actual question is:" Shouldn't the Betting be allow in Cricket ? & obviously followed by Why Not our system are so-smart either to tackle or even go permit -> a taxation the "Betting."

It should be allowed legally because illegally it is already on income from bets should be taxed and only income tax payers should be permitted to do so

There is no valid reason why it should not be allowed. Why: (a) It is allowed in several countries; and in connected economies, you can't therefore prohibit effectively. (b) Having prohibited, the Govt is losing good revenue by way taxes on legal bets.

Finally, if betting is allowed in horse-racing; and cricketers are sold like horses, why not betting in horse-cricketing?

I don't see the big deal! They should legalise it in India and tax people for it as well. It goes on underground anyway, so the government might as well make some money out of it. And to the people who say it will corrupt the game, that's rubbish! So many sports all over the world are bet on and the competitors earn much less than cricketers do, and there's no corruption there. What? Are only cricketers cheats or something!

Also, India are bet on heavily abroad. Why will things suddenly change it if it was legalised back home? We need to open our eyes and jump out of this silly conservative farce we put on...

If the officials start to officially allow betting, then the game

would be pre-determined as the amount of bets placed will be

outdone by the players and admins compensation. Unless the

game can provide big sums like in NBA, it is very hard to

control. This does not mean underground and other places

this does not happen. Betting is part and parcel of any sport

and no one can eliminate it. What ever we hear in the media is

only the tip of the iceberg.

Many sports are fixed and investigating and bringing those

who have offended the law is very difficult almost impossible.

Every sport has this problem, Cricket has the most.

Everyone else in the world can bet on Indian cricket including the IPL. If they wanted to match fix using some of the methods they would have the resources to do this already. Just because it would be come legal in India only makes it slightly easier.

The most obvious problem would be the social issues gambling causes. In a country like India with a growing economy and many people living in poverty gambling could be a difficult vice to escape. Gambling doesn't hury sport or the economy, it hurts people and their families.

Well you would feed some paper money to players and tell them to lose or to win. Then you bet on it and you put even more money so that whatever u paid is less than the profit....

This way, you wont be able to see the REAL cricket......
