  1. Live quotes are not normally a free service.  "Most" stock quotes you find on the web are delayed, and usually about twenty minutes.  There are however some sites that offer live quotes (usually "X" number of quotes over a set period of time such as 5 live quotes per hour.) My E*Trade account has live quotes as an option that you have to pay for (unless you meet the minimum trade quota per quarter, which I do not.)
