I Am not saying that Indians are not great but there are also great players from other Asian countries like Jayasuriya,Sangakarra (better batsman than Dhoni),Yousuf,Jayawardene,Vaas etc.I think these players never got their due nor I have seen them in list of great batsman from sub-continent.It was always Tendulkar,Dhoni,Yuvraj,Ganguly,Dravid,Se...

I Am Indian And I love India but I think These players should also be there among them.

  1. not entirely the thruth

players like Jayasuriya sanga are given credit as good players

  2. u r 110% wrong because Asia is representing all gr8 player of Great countries like Pakistan & Sri Lanka even Bangladesh is also better than india Players like Vaas,Wasim,Waqar,Murlli,Akhter,Razzaq,Ma... and all these batsman Jayasuriya,Sangakara,Saeed Anwer,Amir Sohil,Jayawardina,Afridi,Inzii,Yousuf,Yu... and the greatest of all Imran Khan and Ranatunga

  3. What are you talking about.  It is only in YA cricket you see this veneration of Indian players.

The rest of the subcontinent (including India) give credit where it is due.

  4. Players like Jayasuriya, Sangakkara, Jayawardene, Vaas,

Muralitharan etc. are always considered as great players.

  5. They give credit to all the players

  6. oh yes only by themselves...Lol~

  7. they have most money so they get most publicity

  8. Its not just in Asia if you believe in Indians they are the only country which produces great players, they do not accept greatest batsman like Sir Don and good batsman neither they believe Ponting is good player you can always see someone disrespecting ponting. May be indians finds it hard to swallow that most all time great players are from Australia. World Cricket counts all other asian players as great its just Indians are not ready to accept it

  9. This happen only here in this section.. because many of users are Indian.. other wise... there are many many gr8 players old and present are belong to Sri and PAk

  10. I hardly need reply, DX has put it down so succintly & eloquently.

  11. Your view may be partially correct, but I don't agree to this view completely. Yes, Indian batsmen are internatinally reputed, but those from other countries also get the recognition that they deserve. I think Jaysurya and Sangakara are regarded as great cricketers, and obviously, I am sure that they are considered better than atleast Dhoni and Yuvraj, because they have  far more experience and technical perfection. Ofcourse Sachin Tendulkar has a god like status worldwide, but players like Jaysurya,  and Sangakara are considered as great as Ganguly or Dravid. Even Inzamam ul Haq of Pakistan falls in the category of great batsmen from the subcontinent.

Murlitharan is considered a legend in spin bowling, and is much more reputed than his Indian counterpart, Anil Kumble. What can you say about this? Bowlers like Vaas, Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram had earned their own place in international cricket. But the craze for cricket is the most in India, and that's why perhaps the Indian cricketers enjoy a better status in their own country. But I don't think that it implies that the great cricketers from Pakistan and Sri Lanka aren't getting the recognition that they deserve in international cricket.

  12. this isn.t true even some sri lankans n pakistanis are great
