Why Pakoray are necessary in Iftar? question for pakistani brothers and sisters.?

During Iftar, if we donot eat Pakoray, is it not felt that we have missed something special, It happens to me?

    YOU know People in this Subcontinent eat more while Ramadan. But Ramadan is not for eating contest. It's for us to feel the pain of poor people so that you can embraces our Hand To SADAKA.

    Only Water is enough for Iftar, Tradition Sucks Ageist Islam. I know its tough even for me too. But how many people even fell the teaching of Ramadan ? I think none of us........................

  3. well I'm not pakistani but I think in general we Muslims all over the world crave for fried stuff one way or another during this month. & 4m wat I no that fried stuff on empty stomach is one of the worst things to eat Allahu alam.

    I as being half arab tend to have Dates at first(it  diminishes the stomach acid while empty) then we eat soup(s****.) & wat ever is with it. We prefer lighter things at iftar.

  6. ya that's true ... its our national iftaar entity! samosaaz n pakoraaz everywhere..... specially in punjab, it seems like a religious ritual to do pakoraaz...... we manage it at home all 30 days... perhaps we all are 'people of taste' & 'lovers of spice'

  13. Same at my place, Pakora is a must. and we have variety of them. I like Pyaaz (onion) k pakoray, there are aaaloo k pakoray, bhajiye, normal pakoray... variety of them..

    have u tried, moong ki daal kay pakoray? and maash ki daal k pakoray?

    they are outstanding too... and have them with imli ki chatti, chaat masala yummy ~!

    yum yum........we had them on monday!

    They are very neccessery because its traditional food and I think we try to keep our tradition near to our religion so we enjoy traditional food in religious way!

    and in my case we feel that Dastarkhwan is missing something if there is no Phirki!

  16. Rooafza (cold drink) and Cholay (chick peas)  are far more important for ifthar !!!!!!!!!!!

    Its a Pakistani tradition !!!!!!!!!! and we cant live without these items in Ramadan.

  17. as pakoray contain bason the gramm powder it creates gas in your stomach, you release this during day time.
