Why do people watch videos on Youtube? Simple. There's a video on EVERYTHING you could imagine and it's all free. You can watch/listen to music, watch people doing some really odd things and even watch TV programs on there. Youtube is a fantastic service that people are supposed to take advantage of.

If you're asking why some people spam Youtube, that too is simple. People need a place to vent, and what better than an anonymous place where lots of people read the comments. It doesn't justify it, but it somewhat explains the reasoning behind it.
