Why Qatar deserves to host the World Cup: Final Part

Education City Stadium
Capacity: 45,350
The beautiful stadium glitters under the desert sun and glistens during the night and will be yet another architectural wonder. The Education City Stadium is located in between the University campuses and is an easily accessible
venue for Qatari fans and fans from neighboring Bahrain as well. The stadium is a 51 minute rail ride away from Bahrain. After the event finishes, the lower tier of the stadium will be used by university sports teams.
Doha Port Stadium
Capacity: 44,950
The Doha Port Stadium is the first of its kind as it will be the world’s first stadium that will use water power. The stadium will be constructed specially for the World Cup and amazingly, an artificial peninsula will be made on
the Persian Gulf to accommodate the futuristic stadium. The Doha Port Stadium will be designed in a way that will ensure that the stadium is smack dabbed in the Persian Gulf.
The outer façade of this beauty will have water from the Gulf run over it and will double as a natural cooling system. And of course if being surrounded by water is not enough, then enjoy a ‘water taxi’ to cart you to the stadium
Umm Salal Stadium
Capacity: 45,120
This stadium is going to be a masterpiece of architectural art in sporting terms. The design is inspired from the Arabian forts and Qatar’s cultural beauty will be reflected through this stadium.
Al-Wakarah Stadium
Capacity: 45,120
This architectural wonder will also transform the surroundings into a great and word class sports facility.
The blue color and the curved exterior with marine pearl patterns actually reflect the city’s history of fishing and pearl diving. Al Wakarah is the oldest city of Qatar and its stadium takes inspiration from the seas that shaped
the city’s history.
Al-Shamal Stadium
Capacity: 45,330
The innovative structure is based on the dhow fishing boats and reflects the fishing culture of Qatar.
It’s a very easily accessible venue and the fans can use a variety of mass transport systems.
Al-Khor Stadium
Capacity: 45,330
The sea-shell inspired stadium will give spectators a chance to glimpse the mesmerizingly stunning views of the Persian Gulf. This breathtaking marvel is another reason why Qatar 2022 will be a World Cup like no other.
Sports City Stadium
Capacity: 47,560
The bid organizers used the following words for this beautiful stadium.
Inspired by traditional Arab tents, Sports City Stadium will have 47,560 seats. The stadium will have a retractable roof, a partly retractable pitch and retractable stands that will make the stadium Qatar's premiere facility following
the 2022 FIFA World Cup.as the Bid portfolio itself stated:
"The stadiums innovative features will make it an ideal venue for football matches, but also concerts, theatre performances and non-football related athletic events."
And they are right. No stadium currently can do what the Sports City Stadium promises in years to come.
Khalifa International Stadium
Capacity: 68,030
This is a world class venue and will host the Final of the 2011 AFC Cup. England and Brazil have played a friendly in this stadium before. The stadium will be a centerpiece of the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence.
Lusail Iconic Stadium
Capacity: 86,250
This stunning stadium will host the opening match and later, the Final of the World Cup. Once again, the Dhow boat is the inspiration behind the architecture and this venue will be completely surrounded by water.
All in all, the venues for Qatar 2022 will be magnificent and like no other. Qatar definitely has got what it takes to host the World Cup in 2022 and the stadia just discussed will vouch for this fact.
Can’t wait for 2022!
