Why Rahul Dravid selected test players for 20-20 IPL match.?

Question

Bangalore royal challengers team lost 6 out of 8 matches. It was surprised to see Rahul along with Wasim jaffer walked in with bat for opening slot as if, they are big hitters. Team composition for batting no. 1,2,3 are all below standard and I do not understand Rahul is playing for winning or just for playing.

Rahul, ofcourse is a good cricketer. He is better suited for Tests and normal version of One day cricket but t20 is not his cup of tea. How come u expect to win with players like Jaffer, Dravid, kumble and Joshi in this form of the game ? Induce young blood like Virat kohli into the team. Its time that Dravid shud step down  both as a Captain and player from IPL to save his face.

it isnt rahul's fault of selecting teams. its the team manager Vijay Mallya. he bought players who play test matches.

It wasn't just Dravid who chose the team and a team like that,with so many good batsmen, should have done well...n Rahul has done an average job,if not a good one.He has hit 32,38,26 and 66 in 8 innings.....and he got a bad decision in one....These players are not below standard...they might not be big hitters but are capable of doing well..It's sad that they haven't clicked simultaneously..

Players always play to win and Rahul is thorough professional...and he ALWAYS plays to win...and Dravid didn't open in every single game,nor did Jaffer...It's just that their players haven't been able to do well.

I dont know why Rahul Dravid is selecting Kallis and Jafar.Misbah is a great palyer T20 and he is not selected in many matches and that why they are lossing the matches

I THINK THE WALL WANT TO TELL THE WORLD THAT WHAT TEST PLAYERS CAN DO IN 20 20 FORMAT MATCH.IT MAY ALSO  BE ANOTHER REASON THAT RAHUL HAVE BETTER UNDERSTANDING WITH TEST PLAYERS LIKE KALLIS JAFFER.

You are so right. Even they dont count them for 50 over one day matches for Indian team, and in ipl both are openers.

Rahul Dravid wanted to prove a point that ..it is possible to win 20 20 even with test player ....but things havent gone his way....there a few things even he needs to unlearn like the insticnt to defend the ball when it is not in the slot to hit . As long as this season is concerned the royal challenger are long gone ....too much confusion on who to open or whom to play with ....they havent still got the playing eleven right .....I pity Mallya ....for letting dravid choose the team ....

Xcuse me... I beg 2 differ...bt u daren't blame my Rahul 4 dat! wat more after he had smashed 66 off 51???? Actually, the team compostion is nt Rahul's fault... remember, d players were auctioned! This side is nt a natural T-20 side. Haarna jeetna toh laga rehta hai, jst stop giving xpert advices, man!
