  1. There are a lot of careers that require a science education.  Many of these are interesting, worthwhile and pay well.

Even if you have no interest in a science related career, science courses can help you succeed in life by helping you to learn to think critically.

Science courses can teach you to observe the world around you and make informed decisions.  A science background can help you test the validity of claims made by advertisers, politicians, and other people who want to influence you.

I say "can" because unfortunately some schools have reduced science courses to rote memorization of facts in an effort to get as many students to pass standardized tests that the federal and state governments require.

So you might want to ask the teachers of the courses that you could be taking how they plan to teach.  Will there be labs, reports, special projects, problem solving?  All of these activities can improve your thinking powers regardless of the actual subject.  Or will there be lots of memory work and practice tests.  These may give you facts and improve your test taking skills but little else.

Still, some science is required for college admission.  And most colleges do provide the kind of science instruction that improves your thinking powers so it still might be a good idea to get as much science as you can.

  2. wot du yu wanna study? voodoo?, witchkraft, majik 1 &2?

  3. where like in elementary or middle school or something? you usually dont got a choice, plus what do you got to lose in taking that class you will only learn about more.

  4. I think everyone should take science in school.

Even if you don't grow up to be a scientist, you'll still need to use science in your daily life.

Studying science teaches you how to think in an organized way.  You'll learn logical thinking, and the scientific method, no matter which branch of science you study.

Also, science classes in the upper grades of high school (and in college) have prerequisites, so if you miss a science class early on, it's harder to catch up later.

You may find that it's your favorite subject.  Try it!

(I took science every year in high school and now I work at NASA!  You can, too, if you want to.)

    I hope this helps.
