If you are a fan of talk radio, stand up comedians or a specific genre of music, you would love the different stations offered on XM. If you travel alot in your car, satellite radio never cuts out or loses signal (except in tunnels) so you dont have to worry about searching for local radio stations when traveling.

If you don't travel a lot in your car its mostly not worth it.

you should get satellite radio if you drive long hours or your career mostly consists of "living" out of your vehicle then yes

I like Sirius better b/c of the NFL network.  There's been a merger approved, though, so some of the stations may overlap.  

If you commute, it's great.  As someone else said, when you travel on long trips, you have a lot of stations to choose from and they don't run out.

talk radio, different types of music, sports. etc.  

I love it.
