Why Sir Henry and Lady Mary's bed room separate ? (Casa Loma)?

I visited Casa Loma, Toronto and wondering why their bed room separate ? including the bathroom too. I knew that they are a couple then why they have to sleep separate ?

It's still common practice among the aristos in England to have separate bedrooms, and to refer to the main one as"Mary's bedroom".

Leading largely separate lives, and often in arranged marriages, couples needed their privacy, as some modern couples do not.They got together, obviously, to produce heirs, and those who became friends anyway spent sleeping time together, but it was just the custom.

Very convenient if you need to cut your toenails, or do something even more ewwwwww and don't want to do it in front of your spouse.
