Why Temecula houses are so cheap now compare to other cities near by?

Because temecula houses are in the middle of no-where.  My parents moves out there and have a huge house, but they have to commute for an hour and a half each way to work (most of the industrial and commercial areas are at least an hour away).  It is starting to build up very nicely out there, though!  Everything is new (the malls, stores, etc.)

I agree with the other answer.  Temecula is far away from anything.  It is in the hills and it takes a while to get to it, and it is hot, very hot and dry in the summer.  I much prefer other areas of San Diego.
