  1. r w is absolutely correct because I have experienced the problems of suds in my front loading machine before therefore it is very important to get the right washing powder, low suds.  I absolutely love the front loaders, they are more gentle on clothes and wash better  : )

  2. Apparantly if you use normal washing powder in a front loader it causes an over supply of suds which can spill out all over the floor.  As for the scientific reasons for this I have no idea.

  3. a front load washer is called a he washer. that means high efficency. if you use regular laundry soap in it it will oversuds. a front loader uses approx 15 gallons of water whereas a top loader uses over 30 gallons to water to do the same thing. If you use to much soap or not he soap in a front loader the pressure switch in the mach will lock up and won't let the machine work until you get the switch replaced. This is called a suds lock condition. If you must use conventional soap in a front loader then use about half of what it calls for on the small load. otherwise you will be calling the repair man..

  4. The difference is the sud content front end machine used less water so you need a washing powder that has a low sud content otherwise your clothes would be very soapy....
