  1. it was a rubbish song

  2. everybody votes for their surrounding countries notice how ireland voted for us?

  3. Purely political voting. I don't agree with previous comments about other Europeans hating Britain because they are queueing up in their thousands to come and live here!

  4. Because they didnt have a very good song

  5. it's not a song contest any more is a polictical showdown and what country is politicaly correct. gordon brown is messing everything around so the whole of europe hates us and it shows in the voting. which is an absolute scam. We shouldn't even bother vewing it or entering it anymore, or we get the best pop star in britain and if we still don't win then hopefully they will have no choice but to give the production company a big fat fine.

  6. It's just a silly contest to try and show how great European Unification is its a pile of crappy propaganda. The songs are always pointless piles of c**p..

    Trilateral commission.

  7. 14 actually and we came joint last with Germany and Poland

  8. Eurovision is not voted on for the best act or most talented, it is voted on by best buddies or neighbouring countries, everyone hates UK, so we always come near the bottom.

Its about time this RACIST programme was either banned or cancelled.

  9. 14 points

blame gordon brown - seems a popular thing to do now a days with his band of misfits

  10. Because our selectors should be more practical with their choice of performer. It's no good choosing someone or the type of song that's not going to go down well with the average European audience. UK PC is ridiculed in the remainder of Europe.

  11. It's an English thing. Nobody likes the english!

  12. because the eastern european leaque of tone deaf rigging gits have taken it over

  13. Cause we all hate the UK

  14. Because unlike Britain, which votes by open public voting for the best liked act so anyone can get it, most countries clearly don't operate the same way.

Examples. Georgia giving Russia points.. when there's been tension between Georgia and Russia for years.

Serbia and Bosnia trading points... and we all know those two countrys are not the best of friends. Christ, even Albania gave Serbia points, and they're currently being blamed by Belgrade for supporting Kosovan independence!

If all those nations did it the same way Britain does, there would be a decent song winning it and not some of the c**p that got most of the points last night.

And even if you think the British song wasn't good, you cannot possibly argue it was worse than the Bosnian one.

God, even Terry Wogan's sick of it, and I'm pretty certain he just goes along to have a drink and a laugh.

  15. No it was not rigged. It is simply a sad sign of the times.

The ONLY way to 'force' the contest back to be genuinely about the MUSIC, is to... (& this will never happen, as it's such a money spinner now), NOT have ANY public voting.. only a single judge representing each country (like gynmastics or ice skating).. Where ONLY their professional oppinion as to the quality of each song counts.

That way.. it will come across as blatanly obvious if one judge gives a neighbouring country high or maximum points, especially if it is audibly obvious that a song is ****! Then an overseeing Eurovision master judge can have the power to 'DISQUALIFY' that countrie's vote(s).

So in an honestly run competition, a song that clearly rises above the rest, irispective of how hated or not cared for that country is, would genuinely win based solely on the merits of the music & nothing else.

I seem to vaguely remember a long time ago, that THIS IS how they used to vote ... i.e. a panel made up of ONE representative 'expert' from each participating country.

Of course this will never be put back in place, as phoning & texting generates millions in cash now. So all the 'sheep' get to choose each other. Baaaaaah Baaaaaaah

    *sigh* oh well..
