  1. US is one of Australia's biggest trading partners.

    Australians benifit from selling to 270 million Ameriacans instead of 20 million aussies. We are culturally more trusting of each other too.

    Some other large markets (eg. China, India) may be more loyal to best prices that fluctuate, rather than trade agreements like US-Aust has.

    Also, many Aussies in share market investments see US market as more active and so any changes there effects our economy
