Why West Indies will win the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World T20 2012? - Opinion

West Indies ruled the world of cricket during 1970s and 1980s as they were the number one ranked Test team of the globe and also won two World Cups on the trot in 1975 and 1979.
Some claim that the Caribbean men under http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301 himself. However, the real strength of that team was the fast bowlers, who had the ability to terrorize even the best of batsmen.
Things deteriorated for West Indies during 1990s and 2000s and they were no more considered to be a force to reckon with. Internal politics played a massive role in the decline of cricket in the islands.
However, since the last one year, there have been some signs of improvement and a number of very talented boys are coming through the ranks of domestic cricket in West Indies.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DJG-Sammy-c1382’s men have shown immense fighting spirit against quality oppositions and if West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) can solve its disputes with the senior players, it is now in a position to form a very strong team, which can regain pride for the Caribbean.

Legendary fast bowler and now a commentator, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 team immediately and should have taken part in the on-going Test series as well.
"He is available, yet the WICB are still putting out press releases saying there are residual matters to be dealt with. What residual matters? It is supposed to be cleared [up], so what residual matter is there now?" asked Holding.
If Gayle makes a smooth return to international sport, West Indies will have a powerful batting line-up in the presence of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KA-Pollard-c1754 and Darren Sammy add to the hitting ability of the team and each one of them is a match-winner in his own right.
The emergence of Trinidad & Tobago’s off-spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kelvin-Claudius-Williams-c70744 is confident that the 24-year-old can serve Caribbean cricket for many years to come.
Trinidad & Tobago’s coach believes, "It's nice to see him doing so well. He is one who has been dedicated towards the development of his cricket. He always had my utmost respect because he was so determined to get to the top. He works extremely hard and is always trying to develop new things."
Apart from Narine, West Indies have the services of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Rampaul-c2233, who are all quality operators. They can be ably assisted by the all-rounders.
Gayle, Narine, Pollard, Bravo and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Smith-c90598 showed their ability in the fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and proved their credentials.
If WICB picks the right squad for the ICC World T20 2012, which will be played in September/October in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, Darren Sammy and company will start the tournament as favourites because most of their players have the ability to change the course of the game within a short span of time, especially in T20 cricket.
Let us hope that the authorities in West Indies realise the potential of their players and facilitates them to deliver the goods at the ultimate level of the sport rather than making things difficult for them.
