Why + Where???

Question

Why did the German Postal service allow my penpal to post a parcel to me via "sea mail" if it says on the internet that "Asia Pacific" can not receive it??? I am in Australia.

Also where would it go?... Will i receive it or will it be returned to her? why does the post go missing so often? Is the internet wrong? Can "Asia Pacific" get "sea mail"?

Australia is part of the Asia-Pacific region and the mail is properly tagged.
