Question:

Why Won't Coleman Really Sue Gore?

The Weather Channel founder raised the idea of suing Al Gore. Yet, he said he has no lawyers hired or actual plans to do so. Why is that? If there's really a legal case against Al Gore, then wouldn't Coleman be doing the world a favor by actually filing a lawsuit against Gore.

What's Coleman afraid of?

  1. Losing huge.

  2. If you know Coleman's history, he is a pretty amazing burnout case.  He was the Weatherman on one of those morning shows like Today or Good Morning America.  He left without completing his contract with the Network or even discussing it with them.  He said they had been known to let people out of contracts before, and he figured they should do it with him.  The Network said "not so fast!"  Those other people had discussed and negotiated  their departure with their employer.  They took Coleman to court and won, of course.  A very sheepish Coleman came crawling back with his tail between his legs and had to stand before America reporting the weather every doggone day of the year or so he had left.  The Network said they wouldn't normally make an issue of it, except Coleman had gone out of his way to behave like an ***.

After he founded the Weather Channel he made history in the Cable TV industry by losing a buttload of money his first year, and even more the second.  He was then bought out by some people who knew what they were doing and they made it a success.

Still he's probably the top "Climate Expert" in Bush's Heartlad dog and pony show.  All the qualified ones boycotted it en masse.  I think it would be wonderful if he did sue.  He could call Larry and Jello as his expert witnesses.  I remember when that crusty old dude who dreamed up the moon landing hoax sued the astronaut Frank Borman for calling him an idiot.  The judge threw it out.  You can't beat credentials like that.

  3. Coleman said it himself.  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€ÂœIf the lawyers will take the case – sue."

No lawyer is going to take a loser of a case like suing a carbon credit company for no good reason, regardless of whether Al Gore owns it.

Like all AGW deniers, Coleman is all talk and no substance.

  4. Quite possibly a countersuit for "abuse of process".

The data is very conclusive.  The fact that a movie used special effects is completely unimportant to global warming science.

A similar lawsuit in Great Britain lost, big time.  The judge found that a few minor flaws in Gore's movie did not change the basic facts.

He said it was PROVEN that global warming is real, mostly caused by us, a serious problem, and capable of being solved by us.

  5. He won't sue, because he doesn't have a snowball's chance in a Texas summer. All he wanted to do was fire up his denier base.
