  1. well, the blue jays are pretty lousy this year and the main office could be trying to get some young prospects that can hit unlike anybody on their team this year

  2. If that gets done they better get  something in return.

  3. The Giants would be torn up for life every time they face the Dodgers

and The Dodgers would take the NL West

If the Jays are getting some to tier prospects then I guess its fine, but they just got up to .500 so I really dont know

  4. If Riccardi managed to get Kershaw, Ethier, Kemp and Laroche, or something like that, I think he'd be inclined to do it.

  5. wow if JP Ricciardi does that, then he is a Dumb@ss nothing else to say he has the best pitcher in the Majors and trading him away that's stupid

  6. first of all i guess we're all entitled to our opinions about whos the best pitcher in baseball and second the blue jays suck anyways why not trade away there only decent player and try to rebuild?

  7. Where are you getting all this from? If you have a link could you post it??

EDIT: Thanks, I hadn't heard anything about this rumor out here so it came as a surprise. It would put the Dodgers over the top as far as pitching, but good pitching with lousy offense isn't going to get them anywhere...

The Dodger have one of the best farm systems, so Toronto would get some good players in return if this would happen

  8. Won't happen, don't worry about it.

  9. Halladay isn't being shopped around.

  10. 1. JP Ricciardi should be fired, period.

    2. If Halladay wants out of Toronto, you eventually have to honour that request or you lose him to free agency. Right now the Jays will get a lot in return for him, this will be the ideal time to trade him.

    3. Why wouldn't Halladay want out of Toronto? Mediocre team, ugly city, no media coverage in the US. He can go to a contender and finally get some recognition for just how good he truly is. LA media will go crazy for this guy, and the Dodgers need a big media push to keep up with the Angels in a city they used to own.

  11. Halladay has been really loyal to Toronto. But I think he really deserves a world series right. But i guess hes got time. The Jays need some more offense.

  12. They shouldn't.

and, Ricciardi should be fired regardless. Seven years of futility should be enough for anyone.

Trading Halladay would definitely put a punctuation mark on Ricciardi's incompetence, though.

  13. halladay ain't going anywhere

    toronto, isn't stupid
