Why a men's premier league (uk) section & a scottish football section ? Isn't Scotland part of the UK ?

Scottish football has always been seperate from England- the English and Scottish FAs were the first in the world and they have remained seperate ever since.

There's nothing united about the UK... really, it's just someone at Yahoo making a mistake, but don't forget Welsh teams can play in the Premier League...

Yes Scotland is part of the UK, but it also has its own league pyramid. Wales also has one, but plays five teams in the English pyramid because it is more competetive. Northern Ireland also has it's own domestic league.

Yes, we are britain but we have our own league up here on top of England, it's maybe not as classy or has as much money involved but we like it!xx

You are using a "silly" version of Y/A, I believe they Have ENGLISH AND SCOTTISH divisions in other versions of Y/A, such as the UK version.

Marco, that's not true. It has more to due with the fact that the Y/A US staff knows nothing about soccer than it has to do with Americans  in general being silly. I admit we have a notorious reputation for being poor at geography, but there are at least thousands of us who are excellent, somewhat.

Your thinking of the English Premier Leauge not UK. Scotland and England don't share a team due to the fact that they are there own seperate countries and deserve their own teams.

God I wish people would just see Scotland as their own country not part of the UK. Which many people just see UK as England.
