Why a person reacts the same way that another acts

she was stalking her ex in an internet anonymous forum, attacking insulting, saying bad names etc.he used to answer and she was becoming more and more violent . he decided to ignore her and she provoks a bit and say lying that she would be in the justice trying to invert the situation... now she stopped as he s ignoring her. what kind of illness? what did make her stops? will it be definitly? thanks

its not easy to answer with this data. But for sure I would say its not illness.

As you are mentioning as "ex", the cause to react violently might be the same reason which made them "ex".

We can not she stopped completely, it depends on person not generic. One who know her and studied her, can tell the right answer.

It's just the way things work. If you ignore somebody, because you aren't giving them the reaction it frustrates them and makes them ignore the person they were insulting/attacking in the first place.

Maybe he really screwed her over and she is pissed off. You said he is ignoring her and she has quit..then what is the problem? She was probably angry and hurt and trying to resolve the hurt feelings with him. I am not sure what you mean by violent. Do you mean violent words or physical violence. Violent words can be expected when someone feels that they have been wronged.
