I am looking at factors that contributed for Africa to be less developed in science and technology as compared to Europe.

  1. Because slavery Atlantic & Arab, colonization, decolonization corrupt governments, diversity, poverty, decaying infrastructure many factors that Europe never had has happened in Africa stagnating their progress but to think a whole continent of people can all be stupid or tribal is beyond me those people who say that simply show how stupid they are. Im of African ancestry and was one of the smartest in my school

  2. well i really dont know but i think its because they are so poor and worry about what happens next in there life other than what happens with science.

  3. Some parts are but as for the rest.....lack of money, clean water, schooling and food to even keep people in those parts healthy and educated.

  4. There are developed parts.  The parts that Europe colonized.   Everyone else is still just click-click tribals.  But feel free to believe that skin color - a genetic attribute - doesnt correlate to other genetic predispositions.

Brant is totally correct.  Humans that left Africa continued to evolve necessarily to their world.  Humans in Africa never needed to evolve much beyond simple grab-swing-release capabilities.

  5. Because they concentrate on developing super athletes, the fastest runners and sports persons.

  6. Even though Africa was the home to the first humans, it remained behind because there was less need for technology.  Climates farther north forced humans to be more resourceful and perhaps more competitive with each other.  Agriculture and civilization developed outside of Africa, where tribal traditions and hunter-gatherer technology were adequate to survive.  Europe and Asia went on to develop technologies and science at a faster rate since they had a head start.

So the differences are attributable almost exclusively to geography.
