Why after i add contacts in new group,after i sign out, they return to their old group?

i add contacts to new group that i create. its ok. then after i sign out,these contacts return to their old group b4 i place them in the new group..why this happen??

Contacts can be members of more than one list (or group, as you call it) at the same time.
