Why aliens always attack USA and Europe and never Africa in science fiction films?

I've never seen a film where aliens attack africa.The attack scene always occurs at White House,London etc bt never at Njamena

Most of the people who watch these films live in North America and Europe. The viewer can better identify with a film set in surroundings that he is familiar with.

I think Africa has more than its fair share of problems without Hollywood blowing up the little they own to kingdom come, Mugabe would have nothing to do.

London,Washington D.C., Paris etc.. These places are always the first to go in the movies because they are seen as places of world power. If you take out the places with the most power, weapons and influence first, then it's easier to take over the rest of the world.

What would the target be in Africa? Lions maybe, but if aliens came to Earth to attack they'd go for the better destruction.

we cant relate to buildings in africa but we can relate to, say, the empire state building or the eiffel tower, so when an alien blows up the eiffel tower ur like, wow lol.
