  1. The French are great and have always provided the world with great entertaining rugby. But there was definately an issue with the 'English' referee.

Very disappointed to see England in the final however, as their style of rugby does nothing to promote the game.

No problem with the World Cup except the IRB's incompetent organisation!!!!! This will need to be sorted before 2011.

Nonenzender please tell us where u r from. You obviously have a deep rooted hatred of the All Blacks and New Zealand. Where does it come from?????? Your digs are getting a little tedious.

  2. It´s like a rock paper scissors game: NZ is beaten by France, who is beaten by Argentina, who is beaten by NZ

  3. they played conservitive rugby  thats why they lost instead of going out there and outgunning  france they kicked the ball away  all day i still dont rate that french team they were just lucky they pulled that win out of there asses and the all blacks went into there shell during the second half  carter was off and richie mc caw  cant hyandle pressure and that pass was forward but the all blacks should  of had thirty plus points on them by then

  4. CHOKE, CHOKE,CHOKE, CHOKE,CHOKECHOKE, CHOKE,, CHOKE,CHOKE, CHOKE,CHOKE, CHOKE,CHOKE, CHOKE,CHOKECHOKE, CHOKE,, CHOKE,CHOKE, CHOKE,CHOKE, CHOKE,CHOKE, CHOKE,CHOKECHOKE, CHOKE,, CHOKE,CHOKE, CHOKE.

Kiwi rugby fanz have to be the most arogant fans going. They always expect ot win the world cup and always fail. It's so funny. And then they get bitter and slag everyone else off.

    Viva Argentina

  5. In my opinion it was a combination of several different factors.

First and foremost, France played absolutely and completely out of their skins that day, as they knew that they would have to to beat the All Blacks.

The Rotation Policy and the Reconditioning Programme must also share part of the blame.

The Rotation Policy achieved it's aim of building depth into the squad, but the constant chopping and changing did nothing towards building combinations. That only comes with game time. The top side should have been consistently played this year. That way lasting combinations could have been allowed to form.

The Reconditioning Programme was an unmitigated disaster that will probably cost Jock Hobbs his job. It was a good idea in theory, but unfortunatly it meant that the players were short of game time and dangerousally underdone going into the World Cup.

A ridiculously easy Pool didn't help either, and nor did the injury to Daniel Carter before the match. With hindsight, he should have been rested altogether or on the bench rahter then in the starting XV. Nick Evans going down during the match was just bad luck.

Then there's the Ref. He was inexperienced and hopelessly out of his depth. Certenly not the right man for a match of that calabre The sin-binning of McAllister, the missed Forward Pass, and the Advantage that wasn't all directly contributed to our loss in that match.

The All Blacks of 2007 should have won the World Cup, certainly they were good enough to have done so, but unfortunately they came up against a French side that just had that little bit more on the day. How they managed to lose to Argentina; not just once but twice, is beyond me.

  6. They choked as usual.

  7. I dont have a problem with world cup but i do with the Referee Barnes.  Referee Barnes is from England and was too young to ref this an important game  as I and the commentators said.  When France made the forward pass which was so obvious, he didn't call it and they scored.  The whole stadium was booing him and for good right.  He was afraid if New Zealand won they would have played in the finals against England and New Zealand would have won.

Referee Barnes is under investigation now and rightly so.

Graham Henry handled the loss very graciously and I hope he remains the All blacks coach.

I forgot to mention that many of the French players were from England. Right Ref Barnes?

When the All Blacks scored again, Dan Carter could not convert the 2 points because he hurt his ankle.  Luke McAllister tried but did get the 2 points.  if Dan Carter had kicked the game would have been 20-20 and I have no doubt if it went into overtime the All Blacks would have won easily.

  8. The idiot controlling the game choked the All Blacks with incorrect decisions and poor refereeing. It was frustrating and agonising to watch the game slowly but surely heading to a dismal result. With the linesmen and ref missing offside infringements an not awarding one penalty to the All Blacks in the second half says alot. With the three blind mice missing the forward pass was the answer to french flare and prayers. As they say ....the rest is history. Did France win the world cup...NO! We don't need the world cup to tell us we are the best team in the world. As for the final between England and South Africa....boring. No trys only kicks. We might as well cut off the post at the crossbar and put a net behind it and call it soccer! I am sure as are alot of fans out there that the next game the All Blacks play it will be entertaining and full of trys. As for Wayne " i have no idea " Barnes go back to your day job ******!

  9. For starters i'm an All Black supporter, everyone was shocked at the way things turned out I dont think many people could of predicted how the World Cup went. Many of the top teams didnt play to there full potential, look at England good team fairly easy group they struggled until there golden boy came along and saved the day as usual, France again good team took a while to get in the mood, Australia that was a shock i must admit, lets not even talk about Ireland. Yet its always great watching the underdogs when they have so much heart and desire. Unfortunatly i think thats what not only the All Blacks lacked so did many of the other teams. Other than that i dont think many people have the answer.

  10. Certain teams match up well against other teams, even when that other team is (on paper) the better team. France always seem to have the All Blacks number when it counts. NZ will probably beat them several times before the next world cup, But when the chips are down, The ABs have no defense against France's back play.

  11. New Zealand puts tremendous pressure on their team to perform, and that - together with the envirionment and format of a knock out competition - like the latter stages of the world cup where you don't get time to get into your stride...seems to be unbearable. This is more commonly known as "choke theory", and symptoms include being incapable of kicking drop goals, picking and driving inch by jnch.. from the half way line, and generally having brain farts all across the park..

Thanks for reminding me..I honestly forgot how funny it was.

  12. new zealand were over confident.... i like the world cup but i'm english and we should of won!!!

  13. It was heartbreaking when the ABs didnt win and the French team played better. Why didnt the ABs win? well we can go on about it till the next world cup, and as you can see every one has their own opinion of what happened, all I can say is whether the above opinions are taken into consideration or not - the ABs in the 67th minute lost the plot and started playing as individuals rather than a team on a mission.

Yes the ABs do have a problem with the world cup - they lack a certain amount of 'urgency' for instance they play/played like they would still have another game tomorrow instead of "this is our last game lets make it our best!!"

  14. Because France was the best team. Blaming the referee only makes it more hilarious for the neutral.

  15. Well if anyone disagread with me it will probobly some French supporter but I real reason NZL losed was becasue of the Ref. If he had call on the forward pass and avoided the unlawfull yellow card, the French team would not have scored any tries. No one except Barnes know what he has intentionally plan but people say that becasue All Blacks is the fave and are strong that he became biased to let a weaker (no offence) team to battle with his home country.

  16. they just had a bad game. i wish that they won

  17. Because France were too good that day.  France always have the talent and that "extra something" inside them and they bring it out at sporadic times.  I think the status of the All Blacks just brings it out in them more often!

  18. Good question? The All Blacks are not sure they have the answer themselves. In my opinion i think the All Blacks were somewhat overconfident after their easy pool games, they also had no real strong competition in the pool games and they had a poor day at the office. One bad game cost them the World Cup, lots of dignity, lots of pride and fans. It was a huge loss for them. Then the French have beaten NZ often as well and know that it can be done. The All Blacks were still only 15 players of flesh and bone and it takes more than the Haka and a number one ranking in the world to win the WC. However the best team won anyway. The All Blacks would have been beaten by the Springboks anyway, but they scuttled their own ship.

  19. If only I knew I could come up with a reasonable answer but we lost. I only hope that when the French do come home bring some of your good wine, champagne and cognac and enjoy yourself.  I only hope your team doesn't come here to haunt us yet again.  Many New Zealanders went to France and enjoyed the hospitality and friendship and only hope we can do the same.

  20. Dude we are chokers, pure & simple, now lets get over it. Wait 4 more years and do it all over again. Simple.

  21. The comments from those that say the All Blacks choked and Kiwi Rugby Fans are arrogant are clearly of those that are experts at it.

Both the All Blacks and the France played with a lot of heart and there was no over confidents of any sort.

The All Black did their home work and knew full well France wasn’t going to be an easy game and history has always shown them.

What team wouldn’t and practically when they are the host Country?

Some of the comments so far, they honestly must think countries that are rated IRB number 1 going into the World Cup Tournament would have it easy and their fans expect to win.

This is not the case and we do not control nor do we all have the same opinion of those that have resulted to the way some of those that have comment think.

To the question in hand; I enjoy watching New Zealand and France, the game is so unpredictable and always exciting.

Yes, New Zealand does have a problem when it comes to the World Cup, but this problem started way before the World Cup and it will continue being a problem.

Without being too arrogant; New Zealand problem is when it comes to the World Cup there is just too many good players to choose from.

Now for the arrogant part and this is my opinion only; clearly given what some of the comments have said, it clearly shows the World Cup is not really for an All Black Team, in future New Zealand is better of sending their Top Club Team to this Tournament and what a laugh that would be if they were to win. But then on the other hand if they were to loose, we can always say, “Oh well, it was our Top Club Team.

    Is this arrogant enought?

    lol

  22. the only problem I have with the rugby world cup is that I can no longer watch it for free!!!!!

They want to charge me 24.95 $ to watch it on pay per view.

    I can't pay it ....

  23. I am France
