Why all half-hearted measures by the west in wanting to bring world peace?

war is profitable, it is the driving force of western economy without which it will not survive.

the more war and conflict in the world the richer the west gets.

i think another gulf war would take britain and usa out of the gloom.

Western civilization isn't dependent on weapons sales for survival, especially not now with alternate energy opportunities aplenty.

well, i think you just answered your own question...we produce weapons, it's not all we produce like but still...
