  1. Hi Basketball was invented in the United States in 1891 (by a Canadian, as it happens).

It's FIBA that changed the rules, not the USA.

I think that, by the term "Steps" , they mean a "Traveling" Violation.

In basketball, if you have the basketball in your hands, you are not allowed to take more than one step without "dribbling" (or bouncing) the basketball on the floor.  If you take two steps without dribbling the ball, possession of the ball is awarded to the other team.

The traveling, or "steps" rule is in effect both in the USA and in FIBA. It's not always called when it should be, though.

  2. because we are no 1......gold...forever!!!.......es una broma....saludos..tu friend...Gonzo...

  3. and Deron Williams going for a layup but is charged with an offensive... the refs were on crack the whole game, so many fouls went uncalled. They never call fouls when players crash in the lane, but calls them when players go one on one with minimal contact.

  4. Yeah, there's also such a thing as a defensive foul... clearly that doesn't include slamming Chris Bosh to the ground.

  5. Pau holds Dwight's arm, Dwight pulls it away and accidently whacks Pau in the face. No foul on either player.

  6. I want to know why European basketball fans cry about the rulebook so often in regards to traveling, but completely ignore the illegal picks they set all game?

    That's a rule, too.

Oh well, I guess as long as you can complain about it, you don't have to admit you lost to a better team.
