Why all world's stock exchange close on saturday. Is there any reason?

  1. Because stock brokers like to have a bit of time off from one of the most stressful jobs.

    Saturday is technically not in the working week.


  2. In some religions, Saturday is the sabbath, while Sunday is the Sabbath in others.

    In the United States we use a forty hour work week, which is 8 hours Monday thru Friday.

    Traditionally, Banks, government agencies, and most companies close on Saturday & Sunday.

    Most world exchanges followed the policy & procedures of the US exchanges when they were established, therefore no Saturday & Sundays,

    Many world exchanges were established by Americans or American companies

  3. It is for historical reasons that the markets are closed for two days a week.

  4. Human being need rest otherwise sick for overworking.

    Western countries have 2 day weekend or holiday, Saturday and Sunday.

    But if India want, they can make stock market run on saturday.

    (India have only one day weekend!)

  5. because being a trader or market maker is stressful enough without having to work 7 days a week.
