I'm 13, gonna be 14 in October. No matter how much sleep I get I always seem to be tired! Last night, or this morning rather, I went to bed at like 3am and woke up at 12pm. But i was still exhausted so I fell back asleep again, and woke up at 2pm. So why do you think I'm always so tired? I'm not depressed or anything.

  1. I suggest you talk to your doctor about it.  There is a sleep disorder called SLEEP APNEA  and one of the main symptoms of it is a feeling of being tired all day. Do you snore when you sleep? Do you wake up a few times during the  night with a feeling you are out of breath? Do you doze off and have cat naps in the middle of the day even if you slept enough hours at night?  Do you wake up with a dry sore  throat? If you answered yes to any of the above questions I recommend that you talk to an ear, nose and  throat Dr. or a lung specialist. Meantime you can research the subject on the internet by doing  a search on "sleep apnea"  or "obstructive sleep apnea."  The above answer by "Translated with love" could also be a possibility. Your Dr. may suggest  you do blood tests.

  2. It's also likely that your body's getting thrown out of wack because you're not following a proper sleep-pattern. If you make yourself stay up later than your body is supposed to, it will throw off your sleep pattern making it nearly impossible to actually feel rested. Before consulting your doctor, try switching back to a normal sleep pattern. When do you go to bed during the school year? Usually eleven or even twelve should be fine. After two weeks or so, your body will readjust and feel fine.

  3. well, if you are not in  your period, and you are not depressed.i will say you have low energy, vitality, stamina level.you really need to increase your vitality, energy, stamina level by way of diet, activities or supplements.can you leave the bed and try engaging yourself in something else.see the link below

  4. I think it's because of your periods - do you lose a lot of blood?...

you might have anemia (not enough blood basically) you should get some iron pills from a pharmacy, that might improve the situation.
