Question:

Why am I always sweating?! How can I make it stop?

For the past year (since my freshman year of hs) I have been sweating like crazy! I wear deodorant every day, but even when I am in a cold room sitting, my armpits will start to sweat like crazy. It doesn't stink or anything, it's just sweaty. And when I am outside working on something, it's so much worse. Not only will my underarms start to sweat, but so will that space under my butt cheeks, on the upper part of my legs (behind) >_< And it sweats allot. My jeans will be soaked if I am out there long enough.

I wear my board shorts when I know I will be outside working, because those don't show sweat stains under my butt. But what can I do about the armpits? Is there any super strong deodorant I can buy?

Please help! School is starting up again and I don't want to be sweaty!

  1. You probably have hyperhidrosis. I had that same problem a few years ago, and then I discovered Certain Dri, an antiperspirant that you apply at night and it blocks some of your sweat glands so you don't sweat as much the next day. You can get it where you get regular deodorant. It changed my life!

Also, if it doesn't work you can talk to your doctor and get a prescription with a higher percentage of aluminum chloride.

    Good luck!

  2. lol i just answered a question like this a few mins ago:

i had a severe sweating problem too, but it was mostly my armpits. i would sweat even in 50 degree weather. when i went to the doctor he said i had 'hyper hydrosis' which is excessive sweating. he prescribed a little bottle which looked like a roll on deodorant. it had the ingredient 'aluminum' in it which really helps to control the sweating. i would put it on at night before bed (when you sweat the least) and in the morning just put on secret clinical strength. and then i stopped sweating .you should go to your doctor and he or she will most likely prescribe it for you.

  3. I have the same problem!! I hate the butt sweat! It can be SOOO embarrassing! I really don't know what to do, but I'll stick around here to see the solutions you get!! Good luck! :)

  4. Go to the doctor, and they should be able to help you.

  5. Sweating is good for you. It cleans out your pores. But if you really want it to stop, ask you parents.....they always know what to do! Or if it just suddenly started last year.....maybe a doctor could help too.

  6. Sounds like you got a case of over active sweat glans.
