Why am I asked by Yahoo to download Language Installation Package - Simplified Chinese?

If I don't install, my searches come up in symbols. I want to search in English.

You probably looked at a Chinese website or got a Chinese email.

It doesn't matter if you got the English version, there's probably Chinese language in the background.

Go to Google and search Yahoo redirect Baidu and you'll see it's the Chinese redirecting search results because of some political issue.
