Why am I being ignored?

Question

I feel low enough at the moment to just surmise your answers are only to get 2 points and that's all.

However... i was talking to some people and then they just stopped talking back, at all, all of a sudden, and no explanation.

THEN i noticed that if i ask a Q designed to be thiought-provoking, i at least TRY to have an intelligent and constructive purpose, i get hatdly any answers at all

and really none from the regulars

- meanwhile i watch some of the STUPIDEST things get asked -(or theMEANEST-) and they get LOTS of answers (well like the guywho asked "Did u ever want to be a buk (yea, "buk")No one knew what a buk was, but he got 14 answers!

Compared to me he's very popular.

I feel Ive invested here -at GWS- but I'm just a man and perhaps thats supect,eh?

IDK. I'm down. Maybe I'll go get a life in the sunlight for a while now...

Just think- is it about quality or quantity? Sometimes my best questions don't get a lot of answers. But I am much more appreciative to the answers that are thoughtful and contemplative, even if they are fewer. I prefer content and quality over several shallow short answers.

This is a response loaded question most people will no doubt poke fun at you or tell you that your wasting time but I feel the point of the question is that you are in fact being ignored and you want attention which this kinda question will of course cause a reaction no matter the positive or negative nature.

Or I might just be thinking way too deeply tonight :-)

Unfortunately you're dealing with the public here and they go for sensational nasty headline grabbing questions versus intelligent thought provoking questions. Keep asking away and I'll look for your questions and will try to answer to the best of my ability.

btw: People can be quirky and all you have to do is get the wrong person upset and they'll tell their little buddies and you can quickly be on the outs. Be thankful you aren't a target for harassment or getting your questions reported-sometimes being "popular" around here means being the latest person to bully. And to be frank-I've seen the anti-fems go crazier (if possible) over men who try to be moderate thinkers vs feminists...to anti-fems you're either with them or against them..

Bad day eh?  Hey come on not all days are like this!    You do know there's no use feeling sorry for yourself; that'll only make things worse.  Yeah, you are feeling sorry for yourself; it shows in your writing.

Now what to do; getting some sun is an idea; putting on some tunes another idea.  Begin today by practice being happy.  Before you know it it'll be come contagious.

People fall for the questions that instigate arguments.  Usually the "best" questions, or the ones that really make you think have the least amount of answers, because they're not as fun to answer, and I find the majority of people here at GWS are here for entertainment purposes only- we all know that we won't be convincing anyone of our viewpoints on this forum.

Did you say something to the people to whom you were speaking that might have offended them or made them want to stop talking to you?

As for questions, we all have our days when we ask good questions and get unsatisfactory responses. It happens sometimes... and it's hard on this board, where so many people are trolls.

Stupid questions get answers because they draw attention and elicit anger or other strong emotions.

Don't take what happens on the internet too seriously-- there's more to life than y!a after all :-)

A lot of the time, the number of answers one gets depends on the time of day or night when one posts the question.  It's not because you're a man.  Men get answers here, too.  Robert G's questions are always interesting, and Isaac is just funny, and they both get lots of answers.

Sometimes the stupid questions get answers BECAUSE they are stupid.  I'm guessing that's what happened with the "buk" guy, though I didn't see it.

Just keep trying.  Nobody is ignoring you purposefully.

Awww I'm sorry.  Really, we all feel ignored from time to time and then another day passes and suddenly we're noticed again.

Sometimes you have to be brutal and totally to the point, no wishy-washy stuff, to get noticed.
