Why am I coughing up blood?

Question

For a few mouths now I've been coughing alot and sometimes it has some mucous in it. Well a few days ago a little bit of blood was in it and just 30 mins ago it was all blood. It wasn't alot but am starting to get very worried as I lived with my dad for two years and he was a very heavy smoker so now the word cancer is poping into my head.

I had the same symptoms when I had walking pneumonia. Basically I didn't feel sick or anything but I started coughing blood. I went to the doctor and he said I didn't have anything but it started to get worse. I had sharp stabs in my chest and I couldnt breathe. I went to the doctor and he said it was normal but it wasnt. I went to a different doctor and I had xrays done. I didn't just have walking pneumonia I had pleurisy as well which is some liquid that eats up your lungs. Go to a doctor!

All i know that this sympthom is very varied. Do you have trouble breathing? It could be ibs, bronchial disease, or even pneumonia.

I'm no doctor, so I can't give you a proper diagnonsis, but I mean it...you should really go see one. These are one the sympthoms of which it is mandatory that you are under the surveillance of a proffesional.

Coughing up blood does not mean you have lung cancer, although, it is a very good change that if you are caughing up blood it is lung cancer. Coughing blood is the #1 symptom for lung cancer. Your best option to do until you see the doctor is look at the other symptoms of lung cancer and see if you have them. visit the website that i use for lung cancer questions, it below.

Stop fooling yourself, I don't know your age, but you need medical help now, walk into an emergency room, see your nurse at school, tell your parents.
