Why am I feeling like I did something wrong in regards to compliments?

My friend told me that I need to give guys a little more feed back that I like them or they will lose interest all together.

The other day I was getting ready to go on my trip and met with the guy I have been dating. After the date he dropped me off and we made out in his car. I kept on complimenting him on his arms, kissing and how attracted I was to him. I felt very comfortable telling him and he seemed to be enjoying it.

It has been a week since and he only texted me to say hello but have not heard back from him. Should I worry...
