Why am I forced to use paypal for ebay selling?

Because I've be not active with ebay, they are forcing me to require people to pay through paypal. Whats up with this?

How does paypal work if it isn't connection with your bank account and just through credit card? Does it add it to the credit card?

EBay owns PayPal and it's just a way for them to make additional money. Sadly, you don't have a choice if you don't have a merchant credit card account, which isn't worthwhile until you're doing a LOT of business. I don't know for sure how it works without a bank account but it probably doesn't add to your credit card.
