  1. most people lose a lot the first week, but after that it will slow down. dont let it get you down though bc your weight will go up and down from time to time. just keep working at it and it will all add up.

your body is going to adjust to you eating a lot less calories so that wont be effective for very long. just throw some exercise in the mix to help out. 4-5 days a week for 90 mins.

  2. Hey:

I was 56 pounds overweight too and after dieting and exceriing I noticed I gained 3 pounds so I stopped.

Please don't ,that will be the mistake, you are losing fat and gaining muscle mass, and muscle mass are dense and weighs more. Also the one pound could be the extra water you are taking and your body is adjusting to.

Its the rule, once you eat less than you take in,you will lose, eventually after a month, your body will adjust itself.

If you really want to check you weight loss progress then the best way is to use a tape measure and check your waist, hips ect.

Keep a weight loss journal,it will help you,www.fitday.com has a very journal and goals ect.

www.ivillage.com has all you need on diets.

Goodluck and keep it up.I am now much thinner having tried all the above.

  3. I cant see your doctor approving you losing 6 lbs in a week. Extremely bad for your body.

  4. Your weight will be very unstable when trying a new diet,

It's the overall wieght difference that your changing.

Each week, your weight will go up and down.

Don't feel down about it though..

Its the worst you could do!

    :]

  5. 4 stone? Honey, how old are you and how tall are you?

Eating under 1000 calories can cause you're body to think it's starving so it retains anything it gets. Maybe if you combined your diet with exercise, and burnt up calories you'd see results. and don't think losing 6lbs one week will mean you'll lose 6 the next. In actual fact, it's dangerous if you do lose that much in week 2 and so on. concentrate on losing 1lb a week. not only is this more achievable, but a couple of months down the line, all the lbs lost adds up to a nice number :)

but 4 stone is v.light i must admit...
